I didn't think that Madeline was actually able to get dressed by herself until yesterday, when she rejected the jeans and tee that I'd brought downstairs for her to wear. She was so mortified by my taste in toddler apparel that before I even knew what was happening, she maneuvered herself into a pair of pants and long-sleeved tee of her own choosing. Huge accomplishment! The only negative was that the outfit she'd chosen was her favourite thing to wear: her purple jammies with the fairy appliqué. Not quite what Chris or I had in mind for a St. Paddy's Day lunch ...
Oh no. You appear to be entering..... The Jammie Phase. My profound condolences. Jammies should have been made harder to get on. The kids would prefer to wear real clothes. On the plus side, they did make potty training a lot easier.

Sounds a step better than what Ada decided to try on last night after her bath: four pairs of my underwear (clean, sitting on the bed with the rest of the laundry waiting to be put away). Over the head, arm through a leg hole. A fit was pitched when we suggested she might be warmer in her pajamas.

Sorry I have been MIA lately, but I have caught up. I like the updates :)
Nikyla only wears sparkles, princess dresses and skirts or any of the princess tee and pants that she has. She is VERY picky now about her clothes, she likes to pick them out. I try to embrace her independance and let her go, but some days it gets trying! I have tried picking it the night before but then she usually changes her mind when she wakes up.
