This afternoon, I had one of the more disgusting experiences in my life as a parent. Madeline wanted to take a walk by the lake, and in her stroller (a rare occurence these days). Normally, walk by the lake would be cool, except that today it had just finished raining and there were tons of snails on the pathway. I had to hose crushed snail off of the tires of Madeline's stroller. Ick. Ick. Ick. And I was trying to steer around them!!!
Oh my, that is disgusting. However, I suspect Jack would have thought it rather funny. Did Madeline notice?

Ewww, gross! Good thing she was in her stroller; if it had been Benjamin he would have tried to pick them up.

Sarah, I don't know if Madeline noticed. I honestly didn't at the time, either. The pathway was gravel so it was crunchy under the tires to begin with. Madeline would call out "bye!" to the snails on the path as we passed them :)
Helen, Madeline actually has picked up a couple of snails last week! I had to persuade her a little to put them right back down, and she did, but she was a little annoyed by the vigorous baby wipe cleansing that followed ...
