This evening Madeline and I were relaxing on the sofa enjoying a few bedtime stories. I had finished reading Animal Talk (and I use the term "reading" lightly - my job merely is to recite, "what sound does Animal X say?" while Madeline lifts a flap and makes an animal sound) for the second time when Madeline took the book from me and turned to face the side table, where I currently have a framed snapshot of my honourary niece. Madeline proceeded to open the book, flip her flaps, and make her animal sounds in the direction of the photo. "Are you reading Nina a bedtime story?" I asked. Madeline nodded vigorously, finished her story, and then said "night-night" to the picture. If she only was always this endearing at bedtime ...
That's SO cute! Too bad Nina was having a night of her own too. If Madeline enjoys animal sounds, Nina has this one with the spinner! that she doesn't quite appreciate yet: http://www.discoverytoysinc.com/lit1a.htm
