I've been making weekly pilgrimages to Old Navy lately, trying to score a few pairs of capri pants for Madeline to navigate the too-warm-for-pants but too-chilly-for-shorts weather that I anticipate arriving any day now. To make the shopping trip avec toddler faster, I usually glance at the Old Navy website and pick out the items that I'd like to buy for Madeline. The only problem with this system is that the Old Navy here is tiny and has maybe one-third of the online inventory. Of course, that third contains only spring dresses, swimwear, and Perfect Ts in girly shades of black, white, and grey. Blah. I've been there three times in the last three weeks and there was nary a pair of capris to be found. The last time I made a purchase at the St. John's Old Navy, I was selected to fill out their online customer feedback survey, and I actually filled out the comment form at the end, pleading for capris pants. I'm sad, yes.
I was window-shopping on the Babylegs site again, and they have a some new styles in purple. The frivolous part of me thinks that Madeline totally needs another pair of legwarmers, but the sensible part of me says that we're almost past the cold weather and the two pair she already has will do. If I hadn't sworn off white (aka "stain magnet") shirts for Madeline, I'd be all over the Ts at Ellabeebaby, though. My faves are Food Critic, Buttercup, and Beeloved. Ah, who am I kidding? I'd also be ordering I Eat Bunnies, Sea Monster, and Are We There Yet? from the seasonal page. That's $95.70 worth of t-shirts, if anyone is keeping track.
I usually have better luck on the Old Navy website. I never find anything for me at the store but I like their overalls and some of their jeans for Luke.

Ada is wearing her babylegs today, and she got a bunch of complements. One of my husband's colleagues said she wanted a pair for herself.
Is it really going to be too warm for long pants (or babylegs) that soon up your way? Maybe I am just a weenie.

Sorry to hear about the awful selection, it totally sucks.... BUT on the bright side you are probably saving money??!! lol Course I spend waaaay too much on both of the girls, they have an awesome wardrobe... now just to work on myself someday.

If Old Navy shipped to Canada, I'd be fine. Or even to one of their retail stores in Canada. I also rarely find anything I like for me in there, but I get staples for Madeline there all the time.
It's still chilly enough here in St. John's for a Babyleg layer under pants in the morning, but it's rarely below freezing any more! I don't want to place another order before the fall because there inevitably will be more new designs that catch my eye :)
Jaime, your're right - I am saving money :)I can relate to what you wrote 100%!

Hey, if you need to have them shipped to me and then have me mail something along to you, I can do that.
I used to sell a lot of clothes to Canada when I was doing the ebay thing. Now I see why the Old Navy was a hot seller!

Thanks for the Ellabeebaby tip! I couldn't resist ordering the Buttercup T-shirt for my Buttercup. I can't wait to get it.
