The degree of difficulty in removing a stain from an article of clothing is directly proportional to the retail cost of said article.
I'm facing my third round with the mysterious orange coloured stains on Madeline's cute little green jogging pants from BabyGap. I've Oxy-Cleaned and rubbed, Oxy-Cleaned and rubbed. From past experience, I know that if I'd bought these at Wal-Mart, the marks would have come out in the wash the first time ...
What's the point of buying Madeline a few nice outfits? They're the first to get introduced to mud puddles and tomato sauce, and the hardest to launder.
Don't you remember when your mom made you wear a red t-shirt when she was serving spagetti?
No stains!

Corollary:
The more you like a particular item of your child's clothing, the more likely he/she is to get it stained.

That's true too ...

HAHAHA That's hilarious. Really. It's the truth too - and that makes me stop laughing.

Hi Laura
I soak Matthew's WHITE highchair straps in regular oxyclean overnight for about 12 hours and they almost always come out white. I think oxyclean needs time to work. I use one scoop to about 3-4l of warm water. Good luck
Also try emailing the gap company with a picture of the stain, they may just send another pair of pants

Ah. I've discovered that it's not always a good idea to leave OxyClean on non-white clothing for extended periods of time - the green jogging pants have a bit of discoloration on them now where I left the product. This also happened with a really cute pair of capris last summer. I wonder if there is a difference between spot-treating and soaking? I soaked when a bottle of Shiraz broke in our suitcase awhile back, and it seemed to be okay then.

Just for the record.... My mom served really messy spagetti. It wasn't my fault.
