I had to laugh this morning when Chris started reading me this article from this weekend's Globe and Mail about the seedy underbelly of baby fashion, particularly smart-ass sloganed onesies. I guess they're gaining popularity among the rich and famous, but they've been popular on one of my fave parenting message boards forever. There's even a local company, Fortybaby, that makes them here in Calgary. Of course, their saying lean more towards the cute and witty than rude or sarcastic. I kind of like the one that says, "I see big people!". Madeline doesn't own anything sloganed like this, but I am hoping to make a few for her this summer using the iron-on transfer computer paper.
We also bought her a couple of stylish "M" iron-on transfers from eachanoriginal at one of the otherwise spendy children's furniture boutiques last weekend. I think we were inspired by the monogram t-shirt that Amber wears a lot on The Amazing Race :)
Hey...
I JUST saw those Mutha Sucka onsies at a new store on Whyte Avenue today!!! I was going to buy one for you, sister dear. Well, for Madeline really. I thought they were crude, but funny at the same time. Didnt' look at the price though.
