Maybe I've just noticed this because my pregnancy wardrobe is rather small and selective, but what's with all of the low-cut necklines on mat clothing? Most of my maternity shirts feature v-necks, and I've stitched up the neckline by a couple of inches on at least two of them to make them more acceptable office-wear (back when I was working ... ). I expressed my frustration about this to Chris awhile back, and he remarked that it was a conspiracy by the clothing designers to draw attention away from melon-sized tummies ...
Made some aethestic changes to the site today and there seems to be some sort of delay before they go into effect ... hmm ...
Like the new design. Makes sense what your husband said.

Hi...I've been reading both your sites for a little while now (this one because my sister is due the same time as you) but first time I've posted...anyways secondhand I noticed this because my sister doesn't like low v-necks even when she isn't pregnant so I had a hard time trying to buy her maternity clothes gifts. She doesn't like clingy clothes either and found that all the free flowing blouses etc. all had low V's. She's picky but allowed to be with a baby in her belly :)

I completely agree with your assessment of maternity shirts. I keep a small stash of safety pins in my bedroom in order to not show off my bra with those low v-necks...
The website changes look great!

I noticed it too, however I like them that way. During my first pregnancy all of the mat gear I had was basically confined to a couple of shapeless maternity t-shirts, two skirts, and most invaluable pair of pants (with a waistband that went over my belly, essential because the little one didn't like anything on or under his territory). I felt big and fat, and when I'd look in the mirror I imagined that I looked sort of like a portable tent with feet.
With this pregnancy, I opted for different mat gear. Wrap shirts, jeans with multi-size waistbands (little loops and buttons... great), and maternity tank tops from Target. I have to say I look less like a tent and more like a pregnant mommy. I don't feel fat, and feel more pregnant.
Perhaps the low cut v neck is not to draw attention from the belly to the boobies (though I'm sure that is a pleasant reason to the daddies), but to make the mommy feel less like a pregnant elephant under a tarp and more like a really sexy vessel of life.

I can relate to everything everyones' said :) I still buy the v-necks (actually, my husband has picked out a few ... maybe there's a connection!) because they are sometimes more fashionable and closer to my regular waredrobe ... but there are some items that I was doubtful were appropriate for wearing around my office :)
I wore a big ol' tent-shirt last weekend, and it was funny how different it felt!

The website looks fantastic as do the awesome b&w pictures!!
I think I am with Chris to draw attention away from the belly... What I didn't like more was that so many of the clothes seemed see-through, I wore a tank top under almost all my clothes due to the see through material and plunging neckline.

Jaime, that's another thing that I've noticed, too!
