It shouldn't surprise anyone who read yesterday's post about not yet having a place for the little sprog to sleep that we don't have much to dress the baby in either! I realized last weekend that most of the bargain-priced outfits that I'd picked up were for babies in the 17 - 22 pound range, and there is no way that I am going to have a 17 pound baby, right? (Right?) Anyway, I convinced Chris on Sunday that we had a baby-clothes emergency and needed to take care of it *right away*, so we went to Superstore and picked up two more sets of baby pajamas in sizes more appropriate for new babies. We already had one pair at home, so that means that we now have three pairs of sleepers, two little baby t-shirts, and a onesie that hopefully won't be too big or too small for the sprog when it arrives. It's hardly a wardrobe to withstand several changes a day, but it's a start. I swear that trying to figure out what size of clothes to get can drive a parent mad!
I also ordered a small stash of chinese prefold diapers, fitted diapers, a few covers, and a Snappi from Natural Babies on Friday so that we'd be ready to commence the Great Cloth Diapering Experiment, and once again I ran into the size dilemma! Did I want to invest my money into newborn sizes, or infant sizes? Blah. I split the difference.
Not that I am a mama or will be anytime soon but babies get pretty big quickly so if you get something for a 3 to six month size it should be ok for a new born? No? I hope you have plenty of clothes for your baby registry. Are you registered.

Actually I didn't have enough sleepers for Nikyla when she was first born and made a dashing trip to Walmart when she was a couple of days old. I recommend having a couple of small sleepers on hand, I used them the most. I did have a panic stricken shopping trip before the baby came too :o)

It is impossible to predict what size to buy. Your baby will have *you*, and that is the most important thing.
