It's not like it's coming direct from Sweden ...

Is anyone else beside themselves with excitement now that the commercials for Ikea's 2005 catalog are airing on tv? In previous years I've always filled out a form on their website to receive a copy of the catalog (last year's arrived thoroughly mangled - ugh!). I went to do that again today, but there's a note saying that mail requests must wait until mid-September ... very sad!

Play with your food!

I've developed a fascination with Ritzenhoff wares lately. A few months back, Chris started collecting the pilsner glasses, and since then, they seem to be popping up in more places! Our first ones came from a local wine shop, but we found them in a stationary/curio shop over the weekend, and my sister insists that they're available at Le Gnome at West Edmonton Mall. I can't say that I've been consuming alcoholic beverages lately, but there is a cute set of water glasses and milk glasses. There's one with a cartoon of Catwoman that I'm partial too, but try finding it amongst the sizeable collection!

Interestingly, the egg cups that I received at Easter were also Ritzenhoff ...

In case anyone missed the news ...

It's five months in the clink for Martha the Great. I loved that her undying fans amassed at the courthouse with their various wares. The Save Martha website has a lot of goodies listed, but I was most impressed with the gentleman who made a ball-and-chain handbag with "Save Martha" emblazoned on it. I think the designers is going to sell some of those on eBay ...

The Great Heir Search?

Was it just this past Monday that Martha was back in the news? Something about rejecting a motion to have her charges thrown out? If so - how ironic! That was the night that I watched the Great Domestic Showdown.

I also can't believe that I'm saying this, but I am tempted to buy a copy of Dr. Phil's Ultimate Weightloss Solution Cookbook. I caught a re-run of his show yesterday, and the recipes looked kind of tempting!

Martha's on Vacation

I'll be posting more often at Mommapalooza for the next little while, if I get a few moments on the computer. Sadly, no housekeeping, gardening, or crafty stuff will be going on at my place for a few weeks, at least!

But here's another update on the calla lilies:
