Friday Reading
Sometimes I think that the writers at the Washington Post sneak into our home while we're at work for inspiration!
- Fall Furnace Upgrades - Chris and I are just hoping that our 30 year-old furnace just makes it through the winter!
- Drafty Charm - the deteriorating seal on our windows is really beginning to trouble me ... bring on the plastic!

Synergy again...hubby and I are looking at replacing our 55% 20-year-old furnace. When you do replace, don't forget to look into that Kyoto Protocol rebate thingy you can get. I don't really know anything about how it works other than that an inspector comes to your house before and after upgrades.
I was surprised how similar a 55% furnace and a 95% furnace really are. The differences between them are actually quite simple to understand. And that continuous-air-circulation business makes me drool (as the temp in my house drops to 17 and rises to 20)!
One more thing - if you find any good Canadian furnace review websites on your journeys, please post about it...

Definitely! We've already scheduled an energy audit. Probably will get a few new windows, too!
